Totally Simple Crochet

A new crochet book by Norwegian designer Tove Fevang was recently published by Trafalgar Square Books. Tove is the author of a few books in different crafts including quilting, applique, embroidery, and crochet. Her choices of colors, yarns, and interesting stitch patterns make her designs very appealing, stylish, and comfy.  As it says on the cover there are more than 30 projects for all levels and for all ages.

Tove says: " I often find the process of the project is more important than having the piece finished. It is certainly why I like always having something in my hands and it makes me happy when the result is just what I envisioned."
Tove thanks her husband who took numerous photos that show a step-by step explanation of how to make a certain stitch. Let's take a look at some of the projects.

This is obviously one of the blankets in the book that her model is adoring (while we are all adoring her :))

Simple but elegant gloves with a matching gentle scarf.

This blanket is not just adorable. With the waffle-like stitch and the beautifully done border this project represents the taste level of the designs throughout the book.

These are my favorite designs: Baskets and the stole.

This book is available on and Trafalgar Books. It is a great learning tool for a novice and a nice idea book for an experienced crocheter. Overall: Very nicely done book.
